It is home to some beautiful period properties and large detached homes. A well-known building in this area is Roehampton House. It is a Grade I listed building built in 1710-1712. The architect involved was Thomas Archer who has also done work on Westminster church, Chatsworth House and Hale Park. Some alterations were done to the house in 1910-1913 when the north and south wings were added. Around 2009-2013 the house was converted into 24 apartments.
