Sash window replacement Peckham

In this sash window replacement Peckham case study we discuss a project we completed on behalf of our customer in Peckham.

Problem

The customer had a large period property with mostly original windows. However, one of the windows still had its original frame, but the original sashes were previously replaced quite cheaply. As this window looked out on the main road, it was quite unsightly. The customer wanted these sashes replaced with new ones matching the original features of the home.

Solution

We measured the window and made new matching hardwood sashes. We used the same paint used on the other windows to ensure the new sashes don’t look out of place. The original frame was also repaired and painted. We then installed the new sashes and draught proofed the window.

Outcome

The new sashes looked great. When anyone looked up at the windows in this home, they could not distinguish the old windows from the new one. The customer was extremely pleased with the result.
