On 1st December 1846 the station ‘New Malden railway station’ was opened. It is a main line that comes from Waterloo and New Malden was established as a result. In this area the majority of homes are from the twenties and thirties. New Malden have their own Farmers Market that is run by locals, it is a very popular market and has even won awards.
