It falls in the London borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The first speed bumps in Britain were placed in 1984 on Linver Road in Fulham. A large section of housing in this area is of Victorian and Edwardian architecture. Between the years of 1890 and 1900 a great deal of new homes were built to meet the growing residential demand. The area drastically expanded about 40 years ago when professionals from Chelsea and Kensington started to move across into Fulham.
